Amorim Revestimentos is an Amorim Group company dedicated to the manufacture of floor and wall coverings whose main characteristic and common denominator is the integration of cork as one of its main components. The products of this brand have an excellent thermal and acoustic performance inherent to this natural insulator and represent a measurable reduction in the carbon footprint associated with carbon emissions. Amorim Revestimentos has made a continuous effort to improve the performance of its materials, both technically and in terms of their environmental performance.

 

In recent years, the company has invested in the use of innovative materials and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies as an eco-design tool, improving its carbon footprint. The development of DAP (Environmental Product Declarations) is a complementary way of objectively communicating the environmental impacts associated with the products sold. The work on the development of LCA & DAP in Amorim Revestimentos' pavements has been carried out since 2011. From that date onwards, around ten products were evaluated with LCA; from these resulted the emission of about 10 DAP, of which three correspond to renewals of DAP produced.
